MULTAN (BODN) – Banks received more than 22 thousand applications for Hajj 2017 on the first day as ministry is expecting record number of applications this year, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.
It is pertinent here to mention that as per Hajj policy 2017, applications will be accepted till April 26, and draw will be held on April 28.
Director Hajj Multan Rehan Abbas Khokhar inaugurated Hajj counters at Muslim Commercial Bank Hussain Agahi branch, National Bank Hussain Agahi branch, and Meezan Bank Nawan Shaher branch. Furthermore, he also received the first application and formally started the procedure.
Speaking on the occasion, Rehan Abbas Khokhar said ten banks in Multan are receiving Hajj applications. Assistant Director Hajj Muhammad Ajmal Bajwa and others accompanied the director on the event.
As per details, 200 applications were submitted in Multan’s Muslim Commercial Bank, 170 in National Bank, 150 in Meezan Bank, and 150 in Allied Bank on first day till 12:00 PM. Moreover, thousands of applications were received on first day in all ten banks of Multan till 05:00 PM.
